Desert Dwellers' Breath album was a masterpiece in terms of sonic meditation. Spanning four remix albums, it transcended its original genre: psychedelic music with a distinct focus on meditation and relaxation. With that in mind, we focus on the new Symbolico Remix of Dreams Within A Dream, probably my favourite tracks on the original album, particularly its Liquid Bloom beatless version.
Symbolico's mix transforms the track into a psychedelic bass odyssey, keeping the track's essence but re-angling it so it fits into bass sets. It has a slight trancey feel but that's because of the original's layout. Nice use of samples and its Spanish vocals. These vocals were handled exquisite in the Liquid Bloom mix; ghostly and ethereal. Here, they're front and centre. I like this. A lot.
